Our world has become increasingly international and working with people from different cultures has become commonplace.
Whilst this makes work more interesting and creative on the one hand it definitely creates new challenges: What happens when employees from countries at war with one another have to work together in one team? What if male employees from a patriarchal society need to work under a female boss?
These challenges are best met pro-actively. As a coach with experience in intercultural HR management I can help develop good solutions.
For more than 25 years now I have dealt with intercultural issues on a daily basis having employed people from very different parts of the world. It is a business I deliberately chose coming from a multicultural family incorporating different religions and cultural backgrounds.
To me different cultures can be a valuable source of diversity and creativity for the companies they work for - provided the challenges are handled well.
