We cuddle up blissfully when our parents read fairy tales to us in the evenings. And we learn: Once Prince Charming marries the Princess, both end up living happily ever after<\/strong>. Many years later we come to realise that the actual relationship work often starts after the wedding and sometimes even way before<\/strong>. And most of us have not been well prepared for this challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

But this work is extremely valuable and my first aim will always be to help you resolve this challenge and find a way back to love<\/span><\/strong>. But even if your journey should end and lead to <\/span>separation<\/span> as a break up counselor with lots of experience in divorce therapy I know it can be a big relief to do so in a peaceful and <\/span><\/span><\/strong>respectful way.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

About me<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

As children we learn from the people around us. Therefore, our family of origin shapes us<\/strong> early on and more than we often realise. Without knowing it, we develop behavioural patterns<\/strong> which we perceive as “normal” later on. But at some point in our lives they can actually turn to stand in the way of our lives and quite often this shows in the way we act as parents. Some of us end up with the shocking realisation that although we never wanted to be like our parents we have actually become like them. Not surprisingly, these patterns also often stand in the way of our relationships as a couple.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wanting to learn all about these challenges and family dynamics I started my training as a family counselor at familylab (Jesper Juul)<\/strong>. My additional training as a mediator<\/strong> helped me understand that family systems consist of different members with individual needs and interests. \u00a0Resolving conflicts resulting from difficult communication patterns is always a very rewarding task for me as a coach.<\/p>\n
