Preventing Job Burnout: Putting an end to the daily struggle
Business and Life Coaching – Renate Broeckel

What is a professional or job burnout?

Job burnout is a state of overall mental and physical exhaustion caused by longterm overwhelm at your workplace.

Occupational burnout can turn into a depression if you don’t see any hope of improving your situation anymore.

These are typical signs for a workplace-burnout:

  1. You are completely exhausted.
  2. You dread going to work every day because you feel out of control regarding your work load.
  3. You are unable to focus and your performance is suffering.
  4. You cannot find rest at home and your thoughts keep on revolving around work.
  5. You are showing signs of physical ailments such as ongoing headaches, stomach aches, back aches and more.

If some or all of these have been worrying you for a while you may be suffering from occupational burnout. While being highly engaged is a good thing, it can also lead to high job stress. Constant overwork combined with a lack of work-life-balance can cause emotional and physical exhaustion.

Are you looking for new solutions to your job burnout situation?

As an experienced job coach with a background in psychology and additional training in behavioural therapy I am happy to help you determine whether you are affected and if so find your way out.

Your Burnout Coach

As an employee, I noticed early on how much people suffer from a lack of recognition and appreciation and how this can lead to internal resignation and burnout. How long-term external or self-induced demands can cause psychological stress and psychosomatic health issues, which add physical pain to the mental suffering. With over 20 years as an employer I have seen employees bring along ideas and patterns to the workplace which made it difficult for them to find a good work-life-balance.

With my training in mediation, negotiations and communication, I bring new perspectives to existing conflicts and help resolve them. As a business person I have seen what can happen if people are exposed to difficult situations or people at their workplace for a longer period of time.

When it comes to putting an end to harmful beliefs which can lead to burnout I make use of my psychological knowledge, which includes training in behavioral therapy. Depending on the client and his needs I also incorporate my training in crisis management as well as my know how about relaxation techniques and mindfulness.
